What are toners?
Skin Toners are liquids that penetrate very quickly into the skin. Depending on the toner delivering instant hydration, removing dead skin cells, makeup, cleanser residue etc. They also restore your skin’s ph balance, make your skin plump and brighter.
When should I use a toner?
This is your second step of your routine, used after cleansing or third if you are exfoliating on that day. Its said that using A toner allows your serums, essences and moisturizers to penetrate deeper into the skin. See it like this your after washing your skin is like a dry sponge and if you put a thick layer of moisturizer on top of it, it wont accept it as it isn’t prepped for moisture. But if you wet yor skin the cream will penetrate better and deeper into it delivering its maximum benefits.
Nowadays there a toners for different skin concern like acne, rosacea, retaining moisture.Remember your toner should be 100% alcohol-free
Toners for different skin types and concerns
Acne prone skin or oily skin- look for ingredients like green tea, tea tree, salicylic acid
Plum Green Tea Alcohol-Free Toner
Kaya Purifying Toner- this is also good for sensitive and acne prone skin.
Sensitive skin- look for calming and fragrance free and light weight, hypoallergenic (meaning they are lot lighter on the skin) products

How do I use a toner?
Soak a cotton pad with your toner then wipe it all across your face. This method is perfect for people with oily skin as its just like an extra exfoliation to remover all the left over cleanser residue, makeup, dirt, oil etc.

Using hands, in this method the toner is poured into the palms the patted into the skin. This gives you an instant boost of glow also injecting moisture into the skin. This method is extremely beneficial for people with dry skin and sensitive skin.

Toner masking is a great technique for sensitive skin, there is no tugging or pulling involved.
cotton pads are soaked in toners then applied to the face.

Using a mist or a spray gives you an extra boost of hydration through out the day.
